Megan Butler

BCMB PhD Student

Megan (she/they) received her B.S. in Quantitative Biology at UNC-Chapel Hill where she fell in love with histones and fruit flies working in the lab of Bob Duronio. She’s thrilled to keep asking questions about chromatin and gene regulation during development with a new (equally beautiful…) model system for her PhD. Outside of science, Megan enjoys playing soccer and the French horn, reading queer books, trying new Baltimore restaurants (she’s embarrassed to admit she is a foodie), and watching good or bad TV with her girlfriend and their cat.
